Our 1 Year Old!

Blake turned ONE year old on Friday! He had a pretty rough week though. Last Tuesday I was suppose to have my first day back at Shoppers, but missed it because Blake had his first eye infection. He woke up with his left eye full of goop and swollen shut. He got over that and later in the week broke out in a rash all over his body. On the night of his birthday, we were in the ER and found out he had Fifth disease. There is nothing to treat this. He didn't have much of an appetite all week and didn't even eat much of his cake!
Today he had his one year vaccines. Wade wasn't there to help me this time - it was rough. Blake was not happy when we left there. He also had his one year check up. Blake now weighs about 24 pounds and is 30 inches long. And now he has an ear infection! Our sick little boy....
Blake is still just a motoring around on all fours. He is getting close to walking though - probably won't be long and he will be running around the house!
We still can't believe that a whole year has gone by since he was born - we had a busy year with a baby and building a house! But it has been the best year ever...... We just LOVE our little man.

We had to postpone Blakey's 1st birthday party. We are hoping to have it in a couple weeks so I will post pictures of him "partying" and eating cake :)
